About the Foundation

The London District Christian Education Foundation is an incorporated public foundation which manages an endowment fund for seven Christian schools in southern Ontario. The Foundation was created in 1990 to plan and provide for affordable Christian education for future generations.

The Foundation is governed by a board of directors which is appointed by the participating schools. The directors are responsible for receiving and investing gifts in a manner which safeguards the funds and generates a reasonable rate of return. The income from the investment is distributed annually to the schools.

The directors are responsible to each of their member schools, and are under the supervision of the Public Trustee of Ontario through the Charities Accounting Act and the Charitable Gifts Act.
