Principles of Planned
Giving
Planned giving is the regular donation of
money, time and talents to Kingdom causes.
The biblical teaching of
tithing guides our giving. We offer the first
fruits of our labor to God in gratitude for His Grace. Tithing is based on blessing. The more we are blessed by
God, the more we can contibute to Kingdom work.
For Christians, planned giving is based on the biblical concept
of stewardship. We believe that God is the owner of all things and that we are
stewards of His creation. Stewards have a responsibility to manage God's
world in His best interest.
A planned gift can offer you substantial tax
benefits, which allows you to make a larger and more lasting gift to charity.
Planned giving should take place within the context of long-term financial and
estate planning.
