Gift of Securities

New Canadian regulations announced in 2006 eliminate capital gains tax on securities which are donated to charity. This means that you can donate stock shares and mutual funds to the Foundation without having to pay capital gains tax.

The following chart illustrates the benefit of donating securities directly to the Foundation rather than selling them and donating the proceeds.
